Hilda is living in East Nusa Tenggara. Despite her challenging circumstances, she dreams of becoming a midwife and has a deep love for singing. Hildas family is facing extreme poverty. She lives with her parents, grandmother, and an older brother in a simple house with a zinc roof, and they do not have a private bathroom. Her father works as a farmer, but his modest and unpredictable income is not enough to meet the basic needs of the family. Her mother, unable to find work due to a lack of skills, is unable to contribute financially. The family’s total income is only around US$ 37.00 per month, making it difficult to cover essential expenses. Despite these hardships, Hildas parents are determined to provide their children with the best care and opportunities possible. We are pleased to welcome her into our program. Hilda is in good health and making progress in her studies.
