Sithuli Dahamsa is a sweet little girl living with her parents and brother in the Monaragala District of Sri Lanka, a peaceful rural area surrounded by paddy fields and dry forests where most people depend on farming. She is still too young to attend school, but she loves spending her time playing and dancing around the house. Sithuli also helps her mother with small household chores like cleaning. Her mother is a housewife, while her father works as a seasonal farmer, earning about 600 USD per year. The family lives in their own simple brick house with a cement floor and an asbestos roof, though it remains incomplete. They have electricity and toilet facilities but rely on a neighbor’s well for their daily water needs. Despite their hard work, it is very difficult for them to provide enough nutritious meals and cover the costs needed for their children’s upbringing and future education. Receiving sponsorship would greatly ease their burden and allow Sithuli to have a brighter start in life. Supporting Sithuli would be a meaningful contribution toward building a hopeful and secure future for her family.
