Everlyne hails from North Eastern part of Uganda. She is a calm and friendly girl who lives with both parents and three siblings. She is a Christian by faith and enjoys playing with her peers. They solely survive through practicing small scale farming. The yields realized is low due to poor cultivation methods used and which cannot provide enough food and income to support in acquiring other basic family needs. On average, the family earns less than US$1 per day which is not enough to meet the immediate needs of the family. Everlyne and her family reside in a temporary grass thatched hut made of mud walls and wattle with packed dirt floor. Everlyne has started her education journey in an early childhood development centre within the community. While at school, her favourite subject is English. Everlyne will have a brighter future ahead of her when the family’s living condition is improved.
